In short

We collect the contact and project details you send us, plus compliance information where an engagement progresses. We use them to assess fit, make introductions and meet legal obligations. Project and mandate details are shared only with counterparties we consider matched, and with our advisers. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. We do not sell personal data.

Who controls your data

[Legal entity name], trading as the World Investment Exchange Office, registered in [jurisdiction] under company number [number], registered office [address], is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Questions, requests and complaints about data go to [email protected], or to our data protection contact at [name / email, if appointed]. This policy covers worldinvestx.com and the advisory, origination and matchmaking services described on it.

What we collect

Information you give us. Through the enquiry form, email, calls, meetings or documents you send: name; organisation and role; email address; country; the profile you select (IPA or government, sponsor or developer, family office or private investor, corporate investor, other); indicative ticket or project size; and the content of your project or mandate summary and any attachments.

Counterparty and compliance information. Where an engagement progresses: corporate structure and beneficial ownership, identity documents, evidence of source of funds and wealth, sanctions and PEP screening results, and correspondence records.

Technical information. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, which typically include IP address, user agent, pages requested and timestamps, used to keep the site secure and available.

We do not ask for special-category data (health, religion, political opinion, biometrics) and ask that you do not send it. We do not knowingly collect data about children; the site is intended for business users.

How the enquiry form works

The enquiry form on our homepage does not submit data to a server. It assembles what you typed into a message and opens your own email client, so your details reach us as an ordinary email and are stored in our mailbox, not in a website database. If you close your email client without sending, nothing reaches us.

Why we use it and on what basis

Where the GDPR or a comparable regime applies, our lawful bases are:

  • Performance of a contract, or steps at your request — assessing your project or mandate, making introductions, delivering research and consulting services, invoicing.
  • Legitimate interests — operating and developing an advisory business, building and maintaining our investor and IPA network, screening counterparties for integrity and fit, keeping business records, securing our systems, and enforcing our fee and non-circumvention rights. We balance these against your interests and you may object as described below.
  • Legal obligation — anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing, sanctions, tax and accounting requirements, and responses to lawful requests from authorities.
  • Consent — where you opt in to market updates or similar communications. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where there is a reason to:

  • Matched counterparties. Project details go to investors we consider matched, and mandate details go to sponsors, IPAs or authorities, on a confidential basis and to the extent needed to assess a transaction. Where we can, we circulate anonymised teasers before identities.
  • Our advisers and service providers. Legal, tax and accounting advisers, email and hosting providers, document and file-transfer tools, and compliance screening providers, acting on our instructions.
  • Authorities. Where required by law, regulation, court order or a regulatory or law-enforcement request.
  • Successors. A purchaser or successor of our business, subject to equivalent protection.

We do not pass your details to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

International transfers

We operate across India, Hungary, the wider European market and the Caribbean, and introductions are cross-border by nature, so your data may be transferred outside the country where you are based, including to countries without an adequacy decision. Where the GDPR applies, such transfers are made under an adequacy decision, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism, with additional safeguards where needed. You may request information about the mechanism used for a specific transfer.

Fonts, cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising pixels and uses no analytics or tracking scripts.

Page typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google server and Google receives your IP address and user agent for that request. If you prefer to avoid this, you can block the request or use a browser extension; the site remains fully readable in fallback fonts. [If you self-host the font files, delete this paragraph.]

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs as described above. If we later add analytics or any cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not progress are kept for up to [24] months so we can recognise a returning contact and evidence how a lead arose. Investor and IPA network records are kept while the relationship is live and for [3] years after the last meaningful contact. Engagement, introduction and transaction records are kept for the period needed to enforce our fees and defend claims, and to meet statutory retention rules — typically [8] years in line with accounting and AML requirements. Compliance and screening records are kept for the period the applicable AML rules require. Server logs are kept for the short period set by our hosting provider. After that data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable regime, you may ask us to: confirm what we hold and give you a copy; correct inaccurate data; delete data we no longer have grounds to keep; restrict processing while a dispute is resolved; port data you gave us to another provider; or object to processing based on legitimate interests, including any direct marketing, which we will stop on request.

Write to [email protected]. We respond within one month and may ask you to verify your identity. Some rights are limited — for example where we must keep records under AML or tax law, or where deletion would remove evidence needed to defend a claim; we will explain if that applies.

If the GDPR applies you may also complain to your supervisory authority, including the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) where our Hungarian operation is concerned. We would rather hear from you first.

Security

We use access-controlled mailboxes and storage, encrypted transport for the website and for file transfer, and a need-to-know rule inside the firm. Project and mandate details are shared only with matched counterparties, under the confidentiality obligations in our terms and conditions or a signed NDA.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure. Do not send passports, ownership documents or financial statements by ordinary email if you would rather not — ask us for a secure upload link. If a breach affects your rights materially, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Data you send us about other people

If you send us personal data about directors, beneficial owners, colleagues or advisers, you confirm that you may lawfully share it with us and that you have told those individuals how it will be used. On request we will provide this policy to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy by publishing a revised version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email where we reasonably can.
